What Is the Sanitation Levy?
The Abuja Municipal Area Council Environmental Sanitation Levy is a mandatory annual fee imposed on all residential and commercial properties within the Abuja Municipal Area Council jurisdiction. It is authorised under the Environmental Sanitation Bye-Law (Bye-Law No. 4 of 2016) and is administered by the Council's Department of Environmental Health.

Monthly Refuse Pickup — How It Works
When you pay your sanitation levy, your property address is automatically added to the council's monthly refuse collection route. A designated sanitation crew will collect your waste from your doorstep every calendar month for the duration of your levy year.
